Video: Exploring the Catlins
Don’t forget to change the setting to HD for the best quality!
Video Description:
This video was shot in an area of New Zealand’s south island called the Catlins. It’s an incredible collection of waterfalls, epic coastline, and beaches. I only managed to get video from a few spots but if nothing else it gives you a small taste of the area.
The first few shots were actually taken from the doorstep of an Airbnb that we stayed at in Curio Bay. Then I took some video along the coastline of Curio Bay, the Petrified Forest, and Porpoise Bay as the sun was setting.
There are also some shots of a really cool section of the coastline called Cannibal Bay. We were lucky enough to do this trip through the Catlins with some friends of ours from Canada, Riley and Bronwyn. And at one point while we were in Cannibal Bay, Riley disappeared across the beach and we saw him jumping across rocks until he was out of sight. While we were waiting, I went and grabbed my quadcopter and flew over to a small peninsula that he had climbed up onto. So when you see the mysterious figure in the video, now you’ll know who it is, and what he’s doing.
