Video Description:

Hilary and I have been in New Zealand for about 6 months now, and in that time we have done a lot of driving. First off, we drove all of the way across the North Island and crossed from coast to coast several times. We’ve also driven across the length of the South Island and have done lots of weekend trips during our time since we’ve arrived in Wanaka. On lots of these trips, I’ve been trying to film cool sections of the roads that we drive with my drone. At the moment, I’m treating this video as a work in progress and I might end up changing or adding to the video as we drive new roads and see new things. I wish I captured more of the roads throughout the country, but it wasn’t until recently that I actually came up with the idea.

Either way, with all of the exploring and driving that we’ve done, it’s fair to say that the landscapes and roads of New Zealand are always interesting and varied. This video shows some of the roads from the lush green of Northland, the beech forests and rivers of Haast Pass, and the narrow lakeside roads of Lake Wanaka and Lake Wakatipu. So, have a look and keep and eye out for a version 2.0 with more roads and more adventures!
