DESCRIPTION
We were driving out to Tasman Lake one day during a weekend in Mount Cook National Park, and there was a cool section of road that twisted along the valley floor. We had just finished hiking the Sealy Tarns track and were getting ready to head back to Wanaka, but we pulled over to get a picture of it from above.
The great thing about having a quadcopter is that you can stay in one place and get photos from so many different places and angles without even moving. It’s such a different feeling than moving around with the camera and only being able to take photos from where you are standing yourself.
One thing about the mountains in the park that I found really cool was how abruptly they rose out of the valley floor. The valley seems so flat along the bottom and then the mountains suddenly rise out of the floor with almost no transition.
