DESCRIPTION
Hanoi’s old quarter is quite famous for its narrow streets and old buildings. It’s designed around a merchant city in that all of the streets are named after the goods that used to be found on that street. For example, there would be a street filled with lamps, another with dried goods, and so on. Some of our personal favourites were headstone street or metal shower rod street.
When I took this photo, we were on our way to find Bia Hoi corner. If you didn’t know already, Bia Hoi means “Cheap cheap beer that is very cheap” in Veitnamese.
