DESCRIPTION
Since moving back from New Zealand, I’ve been living in Fernie, BC. Even though I grew up just around the corner from Fernie, there are still tons of places to explore in the area that I’ve never had a chance to check out. One of those places is Matheson Falls.
It’s a quick and dirty hike to get there and you walk almost straight up the creek. It has a cool rainforesty kind of a feel that makes it seem like you’re in Costa Rica or something.
The falls themselves are also quite cool and are just around the corner from where this photo is taken, but I actually enjoyed the creek itself more than the falls. There were so many peaceful little sections like this that were just as scenic as the falls. What is it that they say about the journey being just as important as the destination. Anyways, maybe that would apply here.
