Have you heard of the small town in Morocco called Chefchaouen? It’s one of the coolest places that I’ve ever been because there is a section of the town right in the middle that is painted completely in blue, with a bit of white.

I’ve mentioned before that Chefchaouen is liekly my favourite small town, and even though it’s been 4 or 5 years since my trip to Morocco, this still remains true. It has a certain magical feel to it that I’ve never actually found in many places before, and it really feels like you’ve stepped into a different world.

The real question, though, is how the hell do you pronounce that name. I’m just not sure that all of those vowels in a row are necessary. But, after lots of practice, I think I’ve finally got it figured out. If you want to try for yourself, it goes something like this. CHEF – SHOU – IN. The OU in the middle sounds like the OU in “OUch, Charlie, you bit my finger.”
