DESCRIPTION
Near the town of Fernie is a lake called Island Lake. There is a lodge built nearby to the lake that has rooms and a restaurant, but the real highlight of the area is the lake itself, and the surrounding mountains.
Sometimes you can get lucky and be at the lake when there is noone there, and when there is no wind. On the day that I took this picture I was double lucky and had both. The reflection on the lake was a perfect mirror and it’s hard to describe how peaceful it was, but hopefully that comes through in the picture better than I could explain it with words
