DESCRIPTION
Bruarfoss is a really cool waterfall in Iceland that is somewhat off the beaten path. It’s still a very popular waterfall, but it has the feeling that it’s in the middle of nowhere and to get there, you walk through high bushes so you can’t see it until you are right on top of it. There is a bridge that crosses along the bottom of the waterfall and you can get a cool view of the falls from along the bridge or down by edge of the river, which is where I was for this photo.
On the day that we went to the falls, it was raining really heaviliy so we had to put bags and raincovers over our gear and we were continually wiping drops off of our lenses, but it also meant that we had the whole place to ourselves.
For this shot, I had on my polarizing filter and a 2 stop ND filter to get some motion blur in the water. Luckily, my friend Ryan, who you can see at the top of the photo, was standing still so he stayed sharp in the photo.
