DESCRIPTION
The Old Quarter of Hanoi is busy, crowded, noisy, and a bit of a maze. The city was our last stop for us on a recent trip to Vietnam and it was a pretty cool place to spend a few days.
Every street of the Old Quarter is named after a certain product that it sells. For example, one street might sell barrels, or coffins, or tin goods. Some of this has been lost slightly over time and it’s not completely consistent, but you can still see remnants of this set up.
Within all of this mayhem, you can also find a lot of good food, and some exceptionally cheap beer. I think this makes dodging the traffic, and getting lost a few times worth it.
