DESCRIPTION
The last stop that we made on our trip across the North Island of New Zealand was in Wellington. This is where we caught the ferry from the North Island over to the town of Picton on the South Island.
We spent about a day in Wellington before our crossing and really loved the city. There is a walkway along the waterfront and harbour area of the city. It’s lined with pubs and restaurants and there are street performers all along it.
The city of Wellington is also really clean and friendly and the surrounding landscape is really beautiful. I’m not much of a city person, but if I had to live in a city, I could definitely make Wellington home.
