DESCRIPTION
I wish I knew who the guy in this photo was, but sadly, I don’t. In fact, shortly after taking this photo, my friend Riley and I, journeyed up to the same exact spot that he is standing in this photo. Only, when we got there he was nowhere to be seen.
I don’t know if you’ve ever played hide-and-seek in the desert, but you learn pretty quickly that it’s over quite quickly because the hiding part of the game (which is roughly exactly 50% of the game) is virtually non-existent. And because we were at the top of the dune, I’m sure that we should have seen him. But, the mystery remains.
My only explanation so far is that we hadn’t had water in about 37 minutes at this point, so maybe we had some classic desert dehydration like you might see on the movies and he was, in fact, only an apparation leading us to the nearest oasis.
