DESCRIPTION

This last winter, after arriving home from New Zealand, one of the things that I’ve really gotten into is cross-country skiing. I don’t love the sport exactly, and sometimes find it lacks a certain excitement, but it’s such a great way to get out in the winter when walking and biking aren’t quite practical. I usually have big ambitions to stay active during the winter, but the short days, cold weather, and deep snow sometimes get the best of me and I end up spending more time indoors than I’d like to. But with cross country skiing it was easy to get out every day and stay in shape.

This picture was taken on a frozen Allison Lake near my hometown of the Crowsnest Pass where there is a whole network of trails. It was fun to explore all of the trails and find different loops and ways to conenct them all.
