Now, this trip report is going back a little while as it was 2014 when I travelled to Peru. But even so, here is the report and it’s just as relevant now as when I had travelled to Peru a few years ago. It may be lacking a few details simply because I have forgotten some things and don’t remember all of the details of the different costs, but I’ve tried to make it as detailed as possible.

When I travelled there, I had just accepted a new job in Calgary and had a few weeks before the start date so I made the last minute decision to head down to Peru. Some of the pictures and stories from the trip are included in the trip report.

Peru is really an awesome country and if you’re prepared for a bit of an adventure, the country will have ample in store to keep you busy. The food is great and the people are friendly. I did find that the people in the major hubs and around the touristy areas tended to be pushy, but that seems to be the trend in a lot of these types of countries when tourism is starting to flourish.

Anyways, Peru is beautiful and full of surprises and there is always something new to explore!
