I recently spent about two weeks in Iceland travelling with my friend Ryan. Our travels took us mostly to the southern parts of Iceland along the coast as well as the interior highland areas. We were also lucky enough to spend a few days in western Iceland driving along the Snæfellsnes Peninsula.

We saw everything from volcanoes to glaciers, and waterfalls to lava fields. The terrain in Iceland is incredibly diverse and there was never a day that we didn’t see something completely new and unexpected.

As unpredictable as the weather can be in Iceland, we were fairly fortunate as there we only a few days that had lots of rain. While it was never hot and sunny, the weather never hampered us from seeing and doing the things that we planned.

After the trip I can easily say that Iceland is definitely one of my favourite places that I’ve ever travelled, and immediately after leaving the country, I could already feel it pulling me back. It’s definitely a place that I plan to return to as soon as possible!
